Pastor Dave McGrath
About Pastor Dave: On July 1, 2018, we welcomed a new pastor and his wife, Dave and Karen McGrath to York UMC. They have two teen-aged children, Lee and Julia. Pastor Dave brings a relationally styled, grace-filled enthusiasm to the church along with a passionate love for God and people. Dave attended two years at Syracuse University after high school and completed his bachelor of arts degree in business from Malone College before answering his call into vocational ministry. He finished a five-year course of study at Duke Divinity School in North Carolina in 2012. In the last 11 years, Pastor Dave served churches in Norton and Akron, Ohio before arriving at York UMC. Dave describes himself as both a relational pastor and a teaching preacher. He enjoys building relationships with others as he grows in his own relationship with Christ. Dave moved from New Hampshire to Ohio in 1990. By the time he started at York Church, he realized he has now lived in Ohio longer than he lived in New England. Therefore, when Cleveland sports teams play teams from back east, Dave always roots for the home team! We are happy Pastor Dave and his family are part of our home team here at York UMC.
